How to Use Snap Layouts in Windows 11 to Make the Most of Your Screen Space - amandasterner.com
In the seventh blog post in my series on how to fall in love with Windows 11 I want to talk how-to-use-snap-layouts-in-windows-11-to-make-the-most-of-your-screen-space-amandasterneraboutĀ how to use the built-in snap layouts to use the full property on your screen without any third-party apps! Do you have a monster screen like me? I love it but it's also pretty hard to make sure you use all the space on the screen in a good way. Hello snap layouts š.

What are snap layouts in Windows 11?
Snap layouts make it possible for you to organize all your windows as you please on your screen. Sometimes you just don't want one app taking up all the space on your screen, or you have an enormous screen. Snap layouts are a built-in way of neatly organizing all windows in different ways.

There are several snap layouts, to make sure your need is fully covered. Including designs with two, three and even four windows next to each other.

How to reach snap layouts with WIN + Z
Snap layouts are enabled under System > Multi-tasking. There are several settings to make sure snap layouts works as you please; when it should appear and how it should behave.

When snap layouts are enabledĀ there are two ways to reach snap layouts:
By using the shortcut WIN+Z. The snap layouts menu will appear, and you can chooseĀ between the different layouts.
By making sure the settings are on snap layouts will be suggested when you for example drag a window to the top of the screen or maximize a window.
When you activate snap layouts,Ā you can either decide what window should appear by clicking on the window or app. Or by dragging the window into the correct position.

My thoughts
Am I starting to sound like a broken record yet? Ok I just love things that are built-in in Windows 11. Snap layouts is just one of those.
